Decoys

*(updated 3/31/08)

New decoys on page 1, and check back next week or so for some new puppy pictures!

My deepest apologies for not updating this site in well over a year, time flies, life gets away, and too many things to keep us busy. As I'm sure the same with all of you, many changes happen in that long a stretch of time - thankfully for my family and me it has all been very good, just very busy. I hope the same for you.
Hunting season is over for me in New Jersey, and it was a very good season with lots of ducks all season long in our usual spots. Decent weather, and minimal hunting pressure added up to an enjoyable season.
Decoy carving is still in full swing. With that, I've got two very good pieces of news to relay. First, I was honored to be included in Loy Harrel's latest book  "Decoys: Sixty Living and Outstanding North American Decoy Carvers". A big huge thanks to Loy for writing the book and giving me the opportunity to be included.
If you haven't picked up a copy of the book, it's a great reference on some of todays contemporary hunting decoy carvers.  I believe its for sale on amazon, ebay, or contact Loy direct.
Second, Ron Kobli at the Decoys and Wildlife Gallery in Frenchtown, NJ, will be handling all of my work exclusively beginning this month. Ron is a first class guy with a superb decoy gallery. You owe it to yourself to visit his gallery to see an outstanding variety of carvings, paintings, and wildlife art. Hunting and Fishing Collectibles magazine also profiled Ron and his shop in their November 2007 issue - a great read (and a great magazine, subscribe if you don't).Visit his shop or give him a call.

Me and Jess
Weclome to my decoy carving and hunting home on the internet. Please feel free to browse through the pages, click on the pictures and enjoy yourself!

I designed this site mainly as a way to centralize my decoy work, and thought I'd add some pictures of what I do when I'm not working my real job, spending time with my family or carving decoys - like hunting, working with my dog, and thinking about hunting!

Please feel free to email me any questions or comments at: decoygoose@comcast.net ,  contact me anytime to talk hunting or decoys. Thanks!
